  • WE LOVED THIS! It was a spontaneous pick. Food was amazing! My favourite meal this whole trip was here with the Sichuan Spicy Tofu w/ Minced Wagyu. ( we got a little warning on the spice but nothing we couldn’t handle ) Love the service, love its small niche atmosphere.

  • Overall good experience. Very polarizing from what we got from Gifuya a couple of doors down (pls see review). Food was on point, service was attentive and fast. Others guests seem to be enjoying themselves. Has an upstairs. Only thing was wc wasn’t the cleanest :/

  • The place was a bit quiet but we gave it a chance and it was one of the best places we ate in Japan. The wagyu udon was excellent, flavourful and tender. Well worth exploring off the main alleyway

  • Came back here after we ate here last year. Still as good as I remembered. Very friendly staff and food is affordable. Many tourists flock here since it’s in Omoide Yokocho, but the prices aren’t tourist prices. As with many izakayas, it’s quite small but that makes it livelier. Got to chat with locals and made for a good time practicing my Japanese. Think the manager’s name was 「オオノ」, and he was very patient with us as his English was limited and my Japanese is terrible

  • We were out bar hopping in Shinjuku and found this casual izakaya in the heavily touristed Omoide Yokocho. The service was just great, the food tasty and cheap, and the vibe just perfect - fun and vibrant eating. I especially enjoyed all the the assorted Yakitori skewers

  • An awesome izakaya with fast service. Their calamari is incredible amongst the other great options on their menu. This was my 2nd visit here and I will undoubtedly come here again in the future.

  • Great way to end our trip to Japan on such a high note - make sure you get the wagyu steak! The staff was so nice and friendly and we even had the steak brought outside by the chef how awesome is that! Make sure to finish with the plum wine - delicious!
